In August, 1880, C.M. Dittman, of Farmington, and C.G. Roosen, of St. Paul, visited a number of places in Wright County with a view of engaging in the banking business. They finally decided upon Delano, bought the Brasie building and lots, and on October 1, 1880, opened the Wright County Bank. By 1881, the bank was considered to be prominent among the business institutions of Delano. Dittman and Roosen were doing an extensive business, and about to establish themselves in new and elegant quarters. Roosen bought out Dittman in 1882, and continued the business as a private bank. He incorporated as the Wright County Bank is 1884, and it was about this time that the building at 204 Railroad Avenue was built. The building was described in 1893 as a large, two-story brick building, with a large fireproof brick vault, within which is an all steel safe held shut by a time lock. In 1910 the Wright County Bank and the State Bank of Delano, which had incorporated in 1908, merged, and continued in the State Bank building at 115 Bridge Avenue E.

The elegant brick building on the corner of 2nd Street and Railroad Avenue is used as apartments today.
